For: 2025 The Coppini Academy of Fine Arts MINIATURES Member Show
Member representational art only. Artwork will be reviewed online by the Member Art Show Selection Committee. Interested members must submit online (see dates below). You may submit up to three (3) pieces for consideration. Entry fee is FREE.
At least one (1) piece per artist will be selected, if all submittal criteria are met (the “Accepted Artworks”). All submitted artwork must be for sale. Each sale must include a 25% surcharge payable to the Coppini.
We encourage you to submit “Miniatures” (image size 5 x 7 minimum to 12 x 16 maximum) from your best work (consider clearing out inventory to make room for new ideas). Price the pieces to sell.
CAFA will promote the event to the public as an opportunity to showcase our artists and find great pieces. The Miniature Exhibit will be open from November 18 through December 30, 2025.

From your computer, log on to www.thecoppini.org/show, click the Member Show link, then the entry form. Include a high-quality JPG or PDF image of your submission.
Tue, Nov 18 (Noon) — Tom Ellis begins notifying artists by email whose artworks were accepted.
Wed, Nov 19 (10:00 AM–6:00 PM) — Deliver accepted art to CAFA upstairs gallery.
Accepted Art Submission ID must accompany artwork. Elevator available.

Thu, Nov 20 — Exhibit installed; awards posted with hung artwork.

Wed, Dec 31 (1:00 PM–5:00 PM) — Retrieve artwork and pay surcharge to CAFA as appropriate.
Open to all Coppini Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) members in good standing. New members may apply for membership prior to submission. See the Membership page for fees and forms: https://www.thecoppini.org/?p=Membership. To honor the sculptor and benefactor Pompeo Coppini, only representational “Miniatures” art is accepted for this competition.
I. Artwork will be accepted in the following categories:
II. All entries must be original artwork, not previously hung in any past CAFA Members’ Juried Exhibitions. By submitting, the artist certifies they hold the copyright (which remains with the artist).
III. Two-dimensional (2D) artworks will not exceed 20" height and 16" width (including frame). Frames exceeding these dimensions will not be exhibited. Paint/varnish must be dry prior to submission. Gallery-wrapped canvases may be unframed if depth is 1 1/2" or greater and sides are finished. All other works must be professionally framed (Plexiglas preferred; glass acceptable) and ready to hang by wire or D-rings. No saw tooth or clip-on frames.
IV. Three-dimensional (3D) works may not exceed 12 x 16 x 16" and must be no heavier than 50 lbs. Sculptures must be suitable for indoor display and have a suitable base.
V. Competition identification/ID price card must be visible (mounted in lower right corner of the piece).
VI. The CAFA Jury Committee reserves the right to disqualify any work that fails to meet criteria or cannot be safely handled.
1. Each winner will be presented a monetary prize and a ribbon. The ribbon will be attached while displayed. Upon sale, ribbons will be returned to the artist.

1) Best of Show winner is not eligible for any other awards.
2) Other winners are limited to one award per category.
3) Judge may withhold awards if no work is deemed worthy.
4) A minimum of 5 submissions per category are required for a 3rd place award.
All work exhibited must be available for sale. CAFA receives a 25% surcharge/commission of the sale price (payable by check after the show). Purchasers may pick up artwork at the conclusion of the exhibition. The artist agrees to leave artwork in the show through December 30, 2025.
CAFA takes every precaution to protect artwork submitted to this exhibition. However, CAFA is not responsible for loss or damage. By submitting, the artist accepts this condition. Artists are responsible for insuring their own work if desired.
By submitting an entry, the artist agrees to all criteria. The artist grants permission for CAFA representatives to use images of accepted artwork in newsletters, website, brochures, social media, promotional materials, and related media coverage. Every effort will be made to depict artwork accurately, though electronic media and printing may affect image appearance.
